About Korea123
Korea123 is a practical travel guide for foreign visitors to South Korea. Instead of long articles, it organises what you actually need on the ground into simple boxes: money and essential apps, getting around, food, cities and regions, festivals, shopping and safety.
Why we made it
Travellers to Korea often get stuck on small, practical things: which cards work, which apps need a Korean phone number, how to pay for the subway, where to find information in their own language. Official information exists but is spread across many sites. Korea123 gathers the most useful official and trusted sources in one place and explains, in plain words, what each one is for.
What you will find here
- Practical answers on payments, transport, connectivity and safety.
- City and regional guides, ordered by real visitor data from the Korea Tourism Data Lab.
- 10 languages: English, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai and Russian.
Who we are
Korea123 is made in Seoul by a UX designer at Nudge Design Lab, a small design research studio. We are independent and are not affiliated with any government agency or the companies we link to.
Accuracy
We check links and information regularly, but prices, opening hours and rules in Korea can change. Please confirm important details with the official source before you travel. If you spot something out of date, let us know.
Advertising
Korea123 is free to use and may show ads (Google AdSense) to cover running costs. Ads are clearly separated from our content, and advertisers do not influence what we recommend. See our Privacy Policy for details.
